AND THE MEMORY LINGERS..........
"And,
what a nice memory it is! The date.....August 28, 1999.....the time.....
about 9:45 PM.....the place.....The Florida Theater in Jacksonville,
Florida.....the stage set.....with headliner BAYSTREET!"
--
"Where
does one start to describe an evening with Baystreet? With one uninvited
guest, Hurricane Dennis sitting off shore, this turned into an intimate
night with some of Baystreet's best friends. And Baystreet treated
their friends royally with an evening of fantastic entertainment."
--
"From
the dramatic beginning and the first sounds of And the World Turns
Around Again to the very last note of Render Me Helpless, this was
an unforgetable evening. These are expert musicians with a sophisticated
sound. Their material and arrangements clearly indicate they know
exactly what sound they want and that they know exactly how to get
it!"
--
"Take
Jim Brown for instance. Jim has to be one of the very best guitarist
in the business. He knows his way around a guitar so well that would
make most other guitarists shrink with envy. Jim is joined with
the perfection of Cliff Huber on the saxophone. Together they make
an unbeatable pair! Then add the keyboard and singing talent of
Mike Hollingsworth. Mike is very talented and outgoing on stage.
For being somewhat shy offstage his outgoing personality on stage
surprises everyone! Dave Smith is versatile on bass and keyboard.
Now we just need to bring him up-front more and show him off! And,
Travis Coleman keeps it all going with his talent and hard work
on the drums and back-up vocals."
--
"Then.....Sexy
John Miller puts it all together with his terrific singing and showmanship.
John has written most of Baystreet's songs and has arranged them
for the band, with their help and input. An extremely talented musician
and singer, John knows very well how to entertain an audience. And
does so magnificently!"
--
"So,
put all this talent and showmanship together and what do you have.....
Baystreet, of course.....what else!" Pat Melton Ft. Lauderdale,
Florida

"Just
wanted to let you know we had a blast at the show. and it was a
great honor to introduce you all there. you would not have to ask
us twice to do it again. we are going to be playing the new song
" peace " and the new version of " deep blues " on the show this
saturday on the show. tell everyone. we would love to thank you
and the rest of the band again for giving us some GREAT MUSIC to
play on the show."
--
"I
would like to say thanks to the Band for a great time Sat. night.
You guys looked like you were all having a great time and so were
we. Nice opening, we all liked that. JB(nice solo), Travis(nice
solo), Cliff(crystal clear all night), Mike(almost beat his Keyboards
into the stage), Dave(nice job), John(great job on Peace(my fav)).
BAYSTREET====(JOB WELL DONE!!!!!)"
--
"You
have a very sophisticated sound and appeal to the more well educated
mature audience."
--
"I
loved the dramatic entrance and beginning of the show. That's class!"
--
"Your
band is really terrific! And you aren't so bad yourself :) :)!!
I told Mom that last year it was raining so hard at times that we
did not hear the entire show. This time was different! You have
a lot of talent and charisma. Love the clothes changes during the
show. Love the sunglasses too! You need to get yourselves booked
down our way so we have another opportunity soon to watch your performance!
I can tell you really love it!" --
"congrats......Baystreet
on a GREAT show!.......we really had a good time last nite......although
i was (as i'm sure you were) concerned that Baystreet would be "born
in a cross fire hurricane"!!.....looks like Dennis had mercy on
you after all though........just wanted to thank you for a great
show... "
--
"I
think you have a very sophisticated sound and I like Peace. Your
guitar man is fantastic. Probably one of the best I have ever seen
or heard. Actually I thought every man in your band was good. Could
have gone on for another hour or so as far as we were concerned.
That is the first time I've seen you on stage from the "front".
Last time I saw you was from the side of the stage....and that's
just not the same! We both thought you were great. I do mean it
when I call you a SEXY SINGER. You really are. Remember when I told
Carl (Dixon, lead singer of the Guess Who) what his job is on stage
and embarrassed him? Well, no has to tell you that. You already
know!!! Loved the show. "
